Serie A resumption is too early to talk about, says Italian Sports Minister

Italian Sports Minister Vincenzo Spadafora said that it’s too early to even talk about the Italian Serie A resumption.

Clubs have been given permission to resume individual training session from Monday. But team training will not be allowed before 18th May at the earliest. The League was postponed on 9th March.

Spadfora said “I read strange things around but nothing has changed.”

“In terms of the resumption of the championship, for now we don’t talk about it.”

FICG and Serie A want to complete the season, while the Government said that it has not yet decided whether they will give permission to do so.

Across Europe, PSG awarded the title after French Ligue has been abandoned.

In Europe, Bundesliga is set to become the first major football league to return to competition.

Official of Bundesliga suggested a restart on 9th May but the Government delayed the decision and now the resumption date may be 16th or 23rd May.

La Liga is working on clubs returning to training as early as possible after the Government approved plans.
