Brazil U17s Win the FIFA World Cup 2019

FIFA 2019 U17s World Cup came to a dramatic end as Brazil came victorious over Mexico by 2-1 with two late goals to clench their fourth title at Estadio Bezerrao in Gama, Brazil.

Coming back from the break with a clean score sheet, Mexico came on top with the help of a 66th minute goal by Bryan Gonzalez which brought them ever so close to lifting the Cup. But their celebrations were short-lived as Brazil were awarded a penalty at the 84th minute mark which helped them equalize before Lazaro Vinicius sealed the deal with their second goal in stoppage time bringing the final score to 2-1.

Brazil dominated much of the first half, creating chances that just missed the net or hit the crossbar, keeping the CONCACAF champions on their toes. Absorbing such waves of pressure, the Mexicans still managed to gain the lead in the 66th minute of the match. But their lead did not live for long as in the 84th minute, Kaio Jorge found the net as he took the penalty that Veron had just won. Alejandro Gomez conceded the penalty as he tackled Veron in the box. Then, in the third minute of the second-half stoppage time, Lazaro scored Brazil’s second goal with a volley and helped his team to victory and lift the World Cup.
